Meals on Wheels
Providing a hot nutritious meal, five (5) days per week for the elderly in San Benito County, who are home bound, due to illness or can not otherwise cook for themselves. There is a suggested donation of $2.50 per meal.
No one will be denied a meal due to lack of donation.
NUTRITION EDUCATION AND COUNSELING
Promoting better over-all senior health, by providing Nutrition Information in group settings and on an individual basis, by a Registered Dietitian. Individual Counseling opportunities address options and methods for improving the nutrition status for the Community
More About Jovenes De Antaño Del Condado de San Benito
Jovenes de Antaño del Condado de San Benito, Inc., a non-profit organization incorporated in May of 1975, was established to encourage, develop and administer programs to improve the general welfare of the elderly in San Benito County. We will make our services available to all elderly, including the people with disabilities 18 years and older. We will implement programs focusing on the needs of the frail, low-income seniors that include the Latino community, through the use of bilingual/bicultural staff, outreach into our rural areas, senior advocacy and networking with local, regional and national agencies that strive to meet our common challenges.
